Twice a year, during the Spring and Fall releases, Microsoft announces the latest news and innovations on its platform during the so-called Blitz sessions. And they've recently done that in April. The latest features and functions were released for Dynamics 365, Power BI, PowerApps and Flow. It's no surprise that these innovations make us very excited. Thanks to these Microsoft innovations, our Foodware 365 customers have more possibilities to digitally transform their company. The Dynamics 365 platform offers continuity and massive wealth of innovations that are accessible to anyone.
These announcements from Microsoft offer exciting opportunities for us, our software and our customers. We have taken a new direction with our solution Foodware 365. And we are happy to share this new direction with our customers, relations and partners. How are we doing? What did we already realise? What is next on our roadmap? And perhaps most importantly: What do we offer our customers now and in the future? That is why we organize a Blitz session shortly after the Spring and Fall releases by Microsoft, focused on all innovations around Foodware 365. On Monday 13 May 2019, we launched the second Foodware 365 Blitz session.
Product Development Manager Danny Hellemons and International Partner Manager William van Zweeden started the Blitz session with an introduction in which they explained the complete agenda. In addition, we were also presented with the strength and scope of the Dynamics 365 platform, acting as the basis for all food specific topics that were discussed during the session. To start with, Foodware 365 for Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, where the focus was mainly on Microsoft's new One Version principle: continuous updates that ensure that you are always up-to-date with the latest version. Subsequently, Foodware 365 for Dynamics 365 Business Central - SaaS was discussed extensively. Also known as our innovative Project Texel, where we completely rebuild our solution based on the latest innovative technologies in the cloud.
A big number of innovations were named! The Power of the Platform has been explained by Bert Meerman and Robin de Kivit with an extensive demonstration on PowerApps and Flow. In addition, the Data Integration Framework and the cooperation we are looking for with customers, for example in order to arrive at a new solution for Quality, were also discussed. A lot has happened in the past months and there is much more to come. And that’s the energy that drives us!
We’re already looking forward to our next Blitz session on 25 November 2019. Our customers and partners already have the possibility to register here.
